Guided tour Ancient Rome
The full day tour includes a visit to two of the most famous places in Rome. In the morning you can admire the Colosseum, a symbol of ancient Roman times, the Palatine, the birthplace of the city and the Roman Forum, the most beautiful and important archaeological area in the world.
After lunch, the tour continues with a visit to the Vatican Museums, one of the most important art collections in the world. The itinerary includes the Sala del Pio Clementino, the Cortile del Belvedere with Laocoonte and Apollo, the Gallery of the Candelabra, the Gallery of the Tapestries, the Gallery of the Geographical Maps and the Sistine Chapel where you will admire Michelangelo’s frescoes, one of the works of art most famous of all time.
From the Museum you will go directly to St. Peter’s Basilica, the most important Christian church in the world, here you can see, among others, Michelangelo’s masterpiece, La Piedad, and Bernini’s impressive Baldacchino altar. The tour ends in the Plaza San Pedro, dominated by Michelangelo’s imposing dome and surrounded by Bernini’s famous double colonnade.

The “Ancient Rome” tour is conducted only in English with a minimum of 18 people.
