TUESDAY – Tel Aviv – Accommodation in Tel Aviv (does not include reception and transfer to the airport)
THURSDAY (Jerusalem – Ancient City)
Visit of the Ancient City. Arrival at Mount Zion and visit of the tomb of King David. Passing through the Zion Gate of the Jewish quarter, I arrive at the Western Wall.
On the Via Dolorosa, visit to the Church of the Sepulcher. We will cross the colorful and typical bazaars until we reach the Jafo Gate. We will continue on Mount Herzl, where the founders of the State of Israel are buried. Visit Ein Karen, a picturesque neighborhood on the outskirts of Jerusalem and the birthplace of John the Baptist. Accommodation in Jerusalem.
FRIDAY (Jerusalem – Modern City)
Journey to Mount Scopus and the Mount of Olives; View of the magnificent city of Jerusalem and description of the most significant points. New City Tour:
Visit the Book Shrine in the Israel Museum, where the Dead Sea manuscripts and the scale model of the city of Jerusalem at the time of Herod (Second Temple period) are kept. View of the new Parliament building [Knesset], the Menorah and the Hebrew University. Yad Vashem continues, a memorial to the 6 million Jews who were killed in the holocaust.
SATURDAY (Free day or Option Excursion to MASADA AND THE DEAD SEA (cost not included)
Departure for the Dead Sea, ascent by cable car to Masada, the last fortification of the Jews in their fight against the Romans. Visit of the excavations, of the palace of Herod and the Synagogue Panoramic view of the Roman camp and the Dead Sea Bath in the Dead Sea (if the temperature permits) Return to Jerusalem Accommodation.
SUNDAY (Jordan Valley – Beith Shean – Golán)
Departure from Jerusalem for the Jordan Valley, arrival in Beit Shean, one of the main cities of the Greek Decapolis and an important strategic center, given its geographical position, and survived through the centuries until our days. Visit of the theater and the rebuilt city.
From there to Yardenit, the southern meeting point between the Jordan River and the Sea of Galilee. The journey continues towards the Golan Heights. View of the ruins of the Syrian city of Kuneitra. Climb to Mount Bental for a wonderful panoramic view. Arrive and visit the Kibutz hotel. Accommodation.
MONDAY (Safed – Nazareth – Tiberias).
Departure for Safed, city of the Kabbalah, entrance to the ancient synagogues. We continue to Nazareth where Muslims, Christians and Jews live together. Visit to the Church of the Annunciation. We continue towards Capernaum, where we can appreciate the ancient synagogue of the Second Temple Age.
Then visit Tabgah, to end the day by visiting the city of Tiberias, one of the four holy cities of Judaism. Visit to the tomb of Maimonides. Accommodation in Tiberias.
TUESDAY (Haifa – Caesarea – Tel Aviv)
Departure for Rosh Hanikra. Descent by cable car to visit the impressive caves created by marine erosion. Short visit to the city walls of Aco. Arrival in the city of Haifa, located on the slope of Mount Carmel, view of the Bahai temple and its imposing Persian gardens.
Continue along the coastal road to Caesarea, the Roman city of Herod’s time, famous for its great architecture and its port, the importance of which continued until the Crusades period. We will continue to Tel Aviv following the suggestive coastal road.
Short visit to Jaffo, the old port of Tel Aviv, now transformed into an artist neighborhood. Accommodation in Tel Aviv.
